Newcomers Access Center recently lost a founder and long-time board member, Sandra Hester. She is already greatly missed by the board, staff, donors and friends of NAC. In addition to her significant financial support for NAC, Sandy served as Board VP and a Finance committee member, stepping in whenever needed. Her extensive background in the nonprofit world offered NAC the benefit of Sandy’s leadership as a wonderful mentor to board members as well as expediting meetings by keeping everyone on task. Sandy was professional, warm and made people laugh. As she always wrote at the end of every email message “in appreciation.” NAC folks certainly do appreciate her everyday. Goodbye, Sandy.
