Help Afghan Refugees With a Donation to NAC

The Claremont Presbyterian Church of Claremont came up with an innovative fundraiser to raise money to purchase new mattresses for the new Afghan refugees: it hosted an online cooking class. The church’s refugee committee reached out to Nazifa and Nabila Parwani and had them teach how to make traditional Afghan dish called bolani, which is stuffed flatbread. The online class was a big success raising $2,585, enough to cover the cost of several mattresses, according to committee member Judy Kohnen, who helped organize the event.

We appreciate the support of our partner in coming up with this creative  fundraiser.
